Name: Highland Lane
Highland Lone or Lane was at the east end of the village and was a fordable crossing over the Clyde which was used by Highland cattle drovers driving their cattle south to the markets. The loan was to be later sandwiched the Graving Docks and the shipyards providing access to the Kelvinhaugh Ferry. The derelict and unused lone still exists today at the bottom of Stag Street.
